HI there all!

Just wanted to write and say a HUGE thank you for all of the music that you played at our wedding reception - 07/04/07. The atmosphere was fantastic!

I think I have to say I was at my happiest when dancing to the ceilidh music! Not only are you a great bunch of musicians but you were also very patient in explaining all the moves to a lot of people who had never done ceilidh dancing before. For me, to see all my friends and family up and dancing brought great joy.

If you're reading my review and wondering about booking these guys - take my word for it - they're great!!!! (and I'm a musician?!)

Cheers guys! Hope to be at another one of your gigs soon!

Just a little note to say an absolutely massive THANK YOU!!!

You really did make our day! All of the guests have been commenting on what an absolutely fabulous bash it was and how brilliant the band were. Some people are still nursing sore feet now from all of the dancing!! We must also say a little 'sorry' for our attempts at singing; you were very patient; especially with the crazy bride!

Accolades are hard to come by from Jim & I usually, but we were delighted to have had you guys there as such a major part of our day! If anyone else is thinking of booking you; they should definitely end the debate and get you for their day.

We hardly got a chance to speak last Saturday at my daughter Holly's wedding. I hope all the arrangements were what you needed.apart from the generator taking a break halfway through. I also hope you have been paid - if not get in touch straight away. Anyway, I am merely echoing the opinions of the bride and groom and guests of all ages (four to eighty-four) when I say that Bodger's Mate were absolutely terrific - fun, friendly, varied and energetic and all the things a wedding band should be. Thankyou all very much.

We're just back from our honeymoon and we wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the guys for being so fantastic at our wedding on the 22nd July.

Everyone had a ball, and we've had so many people tell us how much they enjoyed the dancing. It was great to see people of all ages getting really stuck into it - lots of our friends complained of sore legs the next day (in a good way!). It really made the night go with a real swing, and created just the kind of fun atmosphere we hoped to have.

Thanks again for being the perfect choice for our wedding - we'll make sure we recommend you to everyone we know!!

Claire and I have just returned from honeymoon, and we just wanted to write you a quick note to express our gratitude for your fantastic work at our wedding. Everyone commented on how much fun the ceilidh was, and for us the rest of the music was the icing on the cake of an emotional and hugely enjoyable day!!

The music at our wedding was always going to be a very important mood setter, and we both felt that the whole of Bodger's mate judged that mood perfectly - many of our friends have said that ours was the best wedding they'd attended, and that was in no small part down to you guys. I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to thank you for a truly splendid performance at Tracey and Craigs' wedding. I am so pleased that, despite their reservations, they took your advice and used the Polka as their first dance. It worked so well - just as you said it would!

We had lots of people commenting on what a good band you were. Bearing in mind that a lot of the guests were Scots who frequently went to Ceilidhs this was praise in deed. Skinners Livery Hall's co-ordinator also wanted your details as she too was very impressed and said that staff who had worked there for a long time said it was one of the best weddings that they had ever held there, obviously, without your tremendous success at keeping the dance floor full that wouldn't have been the case.

Once again a big thank you to you all, both for the music on the night and for being so pleasant and helpful to deal with.

I hope you, Dennis and other band members are well. Thank you very much for playing so brilliantly at our wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed your music and dances and all of our guests haven't stopped talking about how brilliant you were. Dennis was excellent at organising the dances and breaking them down - I think there could have been chaos without such a brilliant caller! We have a wedding video which captures a lot of the dancing and it is great to watch as I think I was dancing in most of the dances so didn't get to see what it looked like from the sideline.

Gordon and I had a great day and honeymoon and are just about getting back to normality and catching up with everybody. We are extremely grateful for the way you conducted the evening and fun was had by all, THANK YOU.

Gordon and I will keep an eye out for where you are playing and would certainly like to come and see you play again. Do you have any gigs set up for Christmas time and New Year?

I just wanted to say a big thank you for a fantastic evening at our wedding. I can honestly say that it was the best day of my life and the evening just went off brilliantly. It was great to see the dance floor full of people right the way through the evening. Marc and I really enjoyed ourselves and so did our guests. Everyone thought your music was fantastic and had such a good time.

The Golf club have since told us that you are the best group they've ever had and that they have never seen such a brilliant atmosphere amongst a lot of people who have never met previous to the wedding.

Alan and I wanted to say thank you very much to you and the band members. We had a fantastic evening and all the guests really enjoyed themselves, you even managed to get relatives up dancing who apparently have never been seen dancing before! The music was great, you are a very talented team. It was certainly a night to remember for everyone and you made it very special for us.

Just a brief note of thanks about Saturday. We wanted an informal affair with lots of dancing and that is what you gave us. You kept us all going and even entertained the children. Your professionalism and skill shone through and we were impressed with your versatility. Even the quiet numbers you gave us to recover to were exactly what we wanted with everything from traditional to jazz (which I know many of us enjoyed). I honestly believe that you made our celebration a memorable occasion for all who were there and we both thank you for that. Good luck in all that you do.

I can thoroughly recommend Bodgers Mate for your wedding reception. They were exceptionally good fun, with an excellent caller (Denis) who kept the dancing going all night. They are very professional, but easy-going and flexible with arrangements and requests, which my wife and I appreciated given the other worries one has on the big day!

We had many favorable comments from our guests on the band and dancing, which we chose as mainly Scottish ceilidh with some interludes of rock/blues/folk covers. They also brought a disco PA system for the small hours, which they continued to manage as long as we wanted, but again were flexible enough to play some CDs we brought along.

In addition to all the above, Denis and Glenn played an acoustic set as accompaniment to the wedding meal. This again was of a very high quality and appreciated by the guests.

Afterwards they were good guests to have in the bar , and (although we were in the bridal suite by this point) we understand they played a few informal acoustic guitar numbers and socialised with our friends.

If you want a good-humored band who keep the night going and impart their enthusiasm on your guests so everyone dances, Bodger's Mate are the right band.

We would be delighted to have our number passed on for references. Thank you so much for all you did on the night we had a fabulous time dancing to all your music and from all the letters it sounds like all our friends did too. I am intending to write a letter for you to put in your files to say how great we thought you were so will do that soon.

I just wanted to say thanks for inviting Jen and I along to the event in Braunston last Saturday. Both of us had a great time, and my parents thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. We would definitely like to have Bodger's Mate to play at our wedding at Mottram Hall in Cheshire on December 30th.
